Delta Healthy Start Collaborative

The Delta Healthy Start Collaborative (DHSC) is an extension of DHA’s successful Parents as Teachers Program. Healthy Start is designed to address high rates of infant mortality and improve poor maternal and infant health outcomes in Delta counties with disproportionately high rates of infant mortality. Enrolled families receive pregnancy and parent education, case management, safety instruction, life planning, navigational assistance accessing maternal and infant services and insurance coverage, early childhood development programs, childhood literacy initiatives, and access to a newly added fatherhood program, Delta Dads.
