Families and Schools Together (FAST) is a 10-week program that engages parents and families in the school community. A FAST team consisting of school staff, students, parents, and community members leads weekly Family Nights, which feature free dinner, activities for all ages, childcare, and peer groups for parents and students. Families who complete the 10-week cycle participate in a graduation ceremony and are invited on a FAST field trip. Past FAST parents say the program has helped them better understand their children, while school personnel and parents credit FAST with improved engagement in school.
How to Enroll:
Students and families can enroll during the recruitment cycle at a participating FAST school. Application dates will be posted at the beginning of the 2020-21 school year.
