Delta EATS

Delta EATS (Edible Agriculture Teaching Students) is a school gardening program operated by DHA in Delta elementary schools. Through opportunities like growing and harvesting produce and cooking in an outdoor kitchen, participating students gain the knowledge and values necessary to make food choices that are healthy for them, their communities, and the environment. Trained EATS staff use best practices from model school gardening programs to offer small group learning environments and incorporate wider school curriculums such as mathematics.
