The Delta Opioid Taskforce: Rural Rapid Response (SAMHSA) program is a component of the DOT initiative. SAMHSA focuses specifically on enhancing and expanding screening, assessments, comprehensive treatment, early intervention, and recovery support services for individuals with OUDs and co-occurring mental health disorders. In collaboration with community partners, SAMHSA aims to provide holistic, comprehensive, and evidence-based treatments and services to program participants. As with other components of DOT, SAMHSA’s goal is to improve the quality of life of those affected by SUD/OUD and reduce the prevalence of opioid use in the Delta.
