Delta Health Alliance raises money from private foundations, corporations and individuals because the demands we face in the Delta are greater than the money available from federal grants. In addition, federal grants come with many restrictions. For example, a nurse practitioner in one of our clinics may need to provide a certain kind of drug to an indigent patient, the reimbursement for which is not allowed by the federal grant that supports the clinic. We thus rely on private donations to supplement the services we provide (e.g., transportation of patients, certain equipment purchases, staff support).

WHAT YOUR DONATION PAYS FOR:
$10,000 – A $10,000 donation would allow DHA to provide a tutor for three months for 25 children in the 3rd grade who are having difficulty reading. (For donations over the amount of $5,000, please contact our office at (662)686-7004.)
$5,000 – A $5,000 donation would allow DHA to feed 100 children through an afterschool program for the summer.
$2,500 – A $2,500 donation would allow us to see patients who cannot get to the clinic for three months through our mobile medical clinic.
$500 – A $500 donation would provide insulin for one year for patients at the Leland Medical Clinic.
$100 – A $100 donation would allow us to provide tablets to children which would give them the ability to access schoolwork from home.
$50 – A $50 donation would provide a blood pressure cuff for our participants in need or a car seat for a mother needing to bring her baby home from the hospital.
$25 – A $25 donation would provide a year’s worth of books through the Imagination Library program for children under five years old.
