The Viking Cooking School Summer Camp is just around the corner! Offered through the Leflore Promise Community, the Viking Cooking School Summer Camp allows GLCSD culinary arts students to build career-ready skills, while learning about local agriculture systems and preparing meals with locally grown Delta food.

Delta Health Alliance’s Delta Better Futures program recently hosted two community-based events in partnership with faith-based organizations across the Mississippi Delta. These sessions focused on raising awareness around teen dating violence and equipping youth with the knowledge to make informed, healthy decisions.
Through open conversation and trusted community partnerships, Delta Better Futures continues to help adolescents build the skills to resist peer pressure, protect their well-being, and set themselves up for long-term success.
