Mission
The Deer Creek Promise Community College Promise Initiative’s mission is to build college going attitudes and culture for students by preparing students to transition and succeed in a two year or four-year college.
Program Description
College Promise Initiative focuses on creating college-going attitudes and culture among students by providing comprehension and engaging lessons to put students on a positive path to post-secondary educational success. CPI motivates and inspires students with the specific college knowledge necessary to reach the goal of higher education.
Requirements
Eligible participants include all rising 11th – 12th grade students attending school in Indianola, Hollandale, or Leland, Mississippi.

Step 1: Letter of Recommendation
All applicants must submit a letter of recommendation written by a principal, teacher, school leader, or community leader who can speak to the candidate’s potential. All applications will be reviewed by a selection committee and participants will be notified of acceptance.
