Delta Health Alliance is helping Delta residents enjoy the healthy pleasures of gardening. In an effort to increase the production and consumption of healthy foods, our 21st Century Community Gardens project is creating a network of gardens all over the Delta. The Community Gardens project works with local healthcare organizations, civic entities, municipalities, schools, churches, and clinics to provide access to gardens within many Delta communities. The results are exciting – people are growing and eating fresh fruits and vegetables, enjoying the psychological benefits of nature, and learning an important skill and trade.
