Thanks to the love and generosity of Dolly Parton, her Imagination library has had an incredible impact on our children right here in the Mississippi Delta. Since 2007, DHA has enrolled more than 20,000 children in Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, helping to ensure children have books at home to build a love for reading and support their positive development.

Our evaluation partners at the University of Memphis show Dolly's program has had a major impact on Delta children. Their 2025 study shows that children enrolled in the Imagination Library scored significantly higher on kindergarten readiness assessments than children not enrolled in the program.

Today, we join families and communities across the country in honoring Dolly Parton and the lasting legacy she leaves through her commitment to children and reading. Dolly Parton used her platform and success to give back to communities and improve the lives of children and families. She was a champion for reading and improving opportunity for young children.
