The challenges to better health care in the Mississippi Delta are complex, historical, diverse, and geographical. No one program can address every challenge. It takes multiple programs, working together and adequately funded, to trigger change. Standing alone, each program can only do a limited amount of good. But connected as part of an overall strategy, much like the pieces of a puzzle, the benefits of each program are multiplied and strengthened. To meet these public policy challenges, Delta Health Alliance focuses its resources on increasing access to health care and educating individuals about living healthier.
